Help us scale the platform that connects Zimbabwe's skilled workforce. You'll work across our web, mobile and backend systems, building features used by thousands of workers and clients.
What you will do
- Build and ship features across the Graft website, the mobile app and the systems behind them, from the first idea to people using it.
- Work on money flows (escrow, payouts, two currencies) where being correct matters more than being quick, and on everyday screens where being quick matters most.
- Keep Graft fast and light for people on inexpensive phones and metered data.
- Review code, write tests, and leave the code easier to understand than you found it.
- Look into problems in production, find the real cause and fix it properly.
What we are looking for
- Several years of building and running real products, on the web and ideally on mobile too.
- Care for security and for getting money right.
- You write clearly, explain your decisions and take feedback well.
- You are comfortable owning a problem without being told every step.
Nice to have
- Experience with marketplaces or payments, and with products used on slow connections.
