How Graft verifies every grafter before they can take a job

Our ID verification process checks national IDs and takes a live selfie match. Here's why we built it this way and what it means for clients.

One of the biggest risks when hiring someone online is not knowing who will show up at your door. Graft was designed from the start to solve this.

Our verification process

  1. National ID or passport upload. The grafter uploads a photo of their national ID or passport. Our team checks that the document is valid, not expired, and clearly visible.
  2. Live selfie match. The grafter takes a selfie through our app. Our team manually compares the selfie to the ID photo to confirm it's the same person.

Once both checks pass, the grafter receives a "Level 1 Verified" badge on their profile.

For clients: what to look for

When browsing grafters, look for the shield badge on their profile. You can also filter Browse Grafters to show only verified professionals.

For grafters: getting verified faster

Verification typically takes less than 24 hours. Submit clear, well-lit photos of your document and selfie. Blurry photos are the most common reason for re-submission requests.
